Printerpoint Connect connects to a printer’s web admin page for configuration and troubleshooting. When a printer has a Fiery controller, Printerpoint Connect will display the Fiery controller website instead of the printer’s website.
When accessing the webpage directly, you can click “Launch Remote UI” to open up a new window to the printer’s webpage.
In Printerpoint Connect, the process is different - the connection port needs to be modified.
- Click Printer Details > Configuration > Advanced
- Change Connect initial protocol/port > Port to 8080
- Click Save
Now, when you click the Connect button, it will bring you directly to the printer’s webpage instead of the Fiery webpage.
Note: 8080 is the default port in this case, it is possible your printer has been configured to use a different port. You can confirm by clicking “Launch Remote UI” and inspecting the URL that is opened - use whatever port number is at the end of the URL.
