Ink is the most expensive part of a print; it costs more than human blood. Some customers respond well to a contract that charges a specific rate based only on the amount of ink used. The downside is that it is hard for customers to estimate the cost of a print.
We provide the total ink usage as well as ink usage by coverage category. For ink usage billing, we recommend using the total number, rather than the coverage numbers. The per-coverage ink totals are helpful for understanding your costs per category when billing paper usage by category.
