Printerpoint uses a combination of proprietary HP APIs and industry-standard SNMP communication to retrieve data from HP Large Format printers.
Requirements:
- SNMP v1/v2 enabled in Network > Network Settings in HP web admin page
- Printer's SNMP community name set to default (public) or custom community name entered in Printerpoint
- For Group E printers, the printer's admin password must be entered in Printerpoint before data can be collected (requires printer firmware version 6.25.x or higher)
Group A
Supports all HP Printerpoint functionality:
- DesignJet T1100, T1120, T1200, T1300, T1500, T1530, T1600, T2300, T2500, T2530, T2600, T3500, T7100, T7200, T610, T620, T770, T790, T795, T920, T930
- DesignJet XL 3600
- DesignJet Z6, Z6800, Z6810, Z9, Z9+
- PageWide XL 3900, 3920, 4000, 4100, 4200, 4500, 4600, 4700, 5000, 5100, 5200, 6000, 8000, 8200
- PageWide XL Pro 5200, 8200, 10000
Group B
Legacy models that support a limited subset of Printerpoint functionality:
- DesignJet 4000, 4020, 4500, 4520
- DesignJet Z2100, Z2600, Z3100, Z3200, Z5200, Z5400, Z5600, Z6100, Z6200, Z6600, Z6610, D5800
Group C
Support a limited subset of functionality:
- DesignJet Studio, T210, T230, T250, T630, T650, T730, T830
Group D
HP Latex models that support a limited subset of functionality:
- Latex 110, 310, 360, 365, 370, 560, 570, 1500, 3000, 3100, 3500
Group E
The following models support full Printerpoint functionality, but have three requirements:
- Printerpoint Agent version 6.3.1 or higher
- HP firmware version 6.25.x or higher
- Printer's admin password entered in Printerpoint
Without these three requirements, only limited information about the printer is available, as well as access to the printer's web admin page via Printerpoint Connect.
